The pretty town of Moraira is a popular holiday destination during the summer months but is never overcrowded. There is a choice of beautiful sandy beaches from the start of the town to El Portet. Even the centre has a beach next to the landmark Moraira Castle. Although more peaceful during the winter, the coffee bars and restaurants in the city centre can still be pretty busy. The Friday market in the large car park is always interesting and is a magnet for locals to buy fresh fruit, vegetables, olives, cheeses and even cooked chicken.
