Travelling from the Orihuela Costa, move even further southwards to the lovely beaches of the Mar Menor and Murcia for a mud bath great to rejuvenate and clean the skin, or the wonderful city of Cartagena seeped in so much history you won’t know where to begin. Take in the beautiful ‘marbled streets’, the ‘Walled City’, the historic Roman Theatre, magnificent architecture, and much more. Cartagena is a port city with a naval base and boasts beautiful sandy beaches. Cala Cortina beach is only 4 kilometres from the city, for the peace and tranquillity of this area is well worth the visit.
